Louis's New Home

So, I know it's old news that LouisBoston is moving to Fan Pier but I just got re-excited about it when I saw the Globe today. Yes, of course I am sad...I love the Natural Science Museum building and I'm scared what will happen to it because God knows no one can afford to get in there after them, and I'll miss it being close to me but you KNOW it's going to be amazing at in the Seaport. First of all look at the rendering that the Globe published in October...

While we're at it, I thought I'd post some of the old images the Globe used to show when the building was the Natural History Museum because they are so cool.

I'd love to see if the Globe could get reprints of these photos because they would look amazing framed.

Most importantly though is what this move means for us......and that would be 50% off! Sale is Thursday - Saturday, 11a-7p

  1. WHAT? This is crazy talk!

I moved from Boston to Virginia in 2005 and can't believe this move.

Have stores moved to the pier? I used to go to show at HarborLights (or Bank of America Pavilion) down there or get seafood from a little father and son operation down there, but there wasn't any real shopping there back when I lived in town. I rode the Silver line while up there for work last fall and I know that's probably the way people will get there...right?

  2. I know! It is crazy talk...my guess would be they got a pretty sweet deal to move the business over there. Boston is trying really hard to get this area going, with the development of Fan Pier and the finished Harbor Walk they're trying to make the Seaport a real destinateion. Barbara Lynch restaurants and new real estate have been popping up so we'll see what else moves over there, I do think there's a lot of potential for the area and this can only help...but I will still miss that beautiful building in the Back Bay. Know what would be perfect there? ABC Carpet and Home! Who's with me??

  4. I'm soooo bummed! I did not know about this move. I love that I can pass the store up on my way home and now I can't! That building is gorgeous. I guess I'll have to go down to seaport...I have a hard time leaving Back Bay :)
